Just picked up a pair of these to replace a fully shredded pair by another brand that was no longer doing me any favors. My first time out was wild, I failed every foot swap I tried, like I had never done it before. Really have to focus on lifting then planting the foot, can’t just slide them around like I used to on the board, they are just too sticky. The eye opener came my first real wave session, it felt like I had straps on (I ride strapless). I could get gobbled by a wave and look down to see my board still under my feet. Unreal.
