Centre fins for longboards and midlengths

How a centre fin works

A centre fin is the large single fin that drives longboards, midlengths and 2+1 setups. It sets the board's glide and stability: run it alone for classic single-fin trim, or with two side bites for extra drive and hold.

Sizing and tuning

Most centre fins sit in a US box, and FCS II Connect-style fins drop into most longboard boxes without tools. A handy guide is roughly one inch of fin depth per foot of board, so a 9ft longboard likes a 9in fin. Slide the fin forward to loosen the tail, or back to add stability.

The range here is largely FCS, including Mid Single and Connect templates, in NZD. Riding a 2+1? See the wider surfboard fins range, or sort a whole board in longboards and midlengths.
