ENGINEERED TO WIN. THE MACH 5 IS PURE SLALOM.
With a bias towards traditional, full-power slalom racing, significant updates to the Mach5 construction and geometry also improve performance when used on foil.
A higher aspect ratio reduces chord lengths, limiting any draft movement and increasing efficiency.
Back hand pressure has been maintained, so when you need to switch on the afterburners the power is ready.
The Mach5 features an open leech, reducing drag and improving aerodynamics.
The higher Centre of Power demands respect, but rewards with aggressive performance. Race to win.

Yes, the new Mach 5 range has been designed to work on both fin and foil.
Sizes 6,2 and down are set up for rigging on an RDM mast and have been tested using RDM masts.
It is, however, possible to rig sizes from 6,2 and down on an SDM mast by replacing the RDM cambers with Severne SDM black cambers and adding spacers.
For use on the foil;
– Be careful not to over downhaul the sail.
– Use upper outhaul clew.
– User higher boom position.
For use on the fin;
– Use recommended settings.
– Use top outhaul clew for extra power, and lower outhaul clew for more release and control.
Follow the recommended settings and work your way from there.
The Mach 5 is a slalom sail that is compatible with the foil. The HyperGlide 5 is a foil specific slalom sail.
