Custom Padding: With the charger helmet, Ride Engine includes all the padding you need to achieve a custom fit. We recommended first positioning the pads using small pieces of tape to fine-tune the fit before removing the adhesive backing and securing them permanently. You can also stack layers of padding if you need to fill a larger gap.

After trimming away the entire outer EVA section of your Charger Helmet, you’re left with one of the most minimalist forms of head protection on the water, while still protecting the most vital part of your head.

Endless Possibilities 

Some riders prefer to customize the amount of external EVA padding on their Charger Helmet. For example, if you often paddle a prone board, you may want to trim the rear section of the EVA for added comfort. Others prefer a more minimal level of head protection.

Heres an example below showing a 50% cut on the back section EVA and a reshaping of the head protection. When performing a custom EVA cut like this, make sure to trace a perfectly even cutting line and use a brand-new razor blade for clean, precise results.
