Choosing a surfboard bag

A boardbag protects your board from dings, wax mess and the harsh NZ sun that yellows and delaminates bare decks. The two main types are day bags for trips to your local, and travel bags with thicker padding for flights and long roof-rack drives.

Day bag or travel bag

We stock day and travel covers in shortboard, fish, funboard, midlength and longboard cuts, from FCS, Creatures and Ocean & Earth, in NZD. Day bags carry lighter padding and a reflective tarp to keep wax cool; travel covers add reinforced nose and tail protection.

Getting the size right
